About Job

We require a non-smoking child carer for our three girls (ages 9, 7 and 4) for the school term from the end of August until the end of May minus school holidays as I am a teacher and will be free during those times. Start time would be 12.30pm each day and finish time will be 4/4.30. This will finalised when I receive my own school timetable. We would require a minimum of 18 hours. Children would be minded in our own home. Occasionally we would require you to work a bit later. These dates will be agreed in advance and you would be paid for any additional hours worked. Duties & Responsibilities The day-to-day care and wellbeing of the children – with the best care and giving their full attention – as well as a few household chores. Childminder responsibilities will include: - Looking after our children and giving them your full attention while creating a positive and stimulating environment - Being punctual at school pickups - Pick up 4 year old at playschool at 12:30 and bring her home - Pick up 9 and 7 year olds at school at 2:10pm - Walking them home, to the local park/playground or after-school activities - Preparing after-school snacks/lunch - Ensuring they start their homework - Entertaining children (arts/crafts, reading, walks) Housekeeping responsibilities will include: - Unloading the dishwasher when you arrive & loading any dirty dishes - Keeping kitchen floor clean after all meals/activities - General housekeeping such as cleaning work surfaces, tidying toys, tidying the kitchen following mealtimes - Keeping children’s bedroom and playroom neat and tidy (this can be done with the children) Our home, playschool and primary school are all located on the same road and within walking distance. Own transport is not necessary Our commitment to you: - Treating you with dignity & respect at all times - Paying you for full hours (even if we arrive home early from work etc.) - Paying you weekly, on time - Being punctual – Unless there are unforeseen circumstances, we will arrive home when we say we will and not leaving you waiting past your finish time. - Being open and honest with you
