About Job

We’re a warm and busy family in Dún Laoghaire with three young children (ages 1, 4 and 6), looking for a kind, calm, and dependable nanny to support us during weekday afternoons. This role involves a mix of school and creche pick-ups, driving to local activities, and helping with the afternoon and evening routine — including dinner prep, play, and toddler bedtime. Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being around young children and can create a gentle, calm and structured rhythm at home after school. • Monday: ~3:15–6:00 PM (walkable pick-ups) • Tuesday: ~2:25–5:30 PM (includes driving to activities) • Thursday: ~12:50–6:30/7:00 PM (earlier start, involves driving to activities + evening babysitting optional) • Friday: ~2:25–5:30/6:00 PM (walkable pick-ups) Optional extra if desired • Wednesday: (~3:15–5:30 PM) What the Role Involves: • School and creche pick-ups (some walkable, some driving) • Driving to nearby activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays (own car required) • Looking after our 1-year-old and 4-year-old while a parent does homework with the 6-year-old • Helping with light tasks: unpacking bags, setting the table, prepping/serving dinner • Creating a calm, fun, and supportive home environment • Settling our toddler to bed on Thursdays (or another evening if babysitting is of interest) You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Are: • Warm, calm and confident with young children • Reliable and good at juggling the “after school” flow • Have a full clean driver's license, ideally with your own car (essential for Tues/Thurs) • Fluent in English • Garda vetted (or willing to be) • Non-smoker What We Offer: • A kind and respectful family environment • Predictable hours across 4–5 weekdays • Children in school or creche during the day • Opportunity for occasional evening babysitting if of interest • Pay based on experience If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!
