About Susan

Hello there, Thanks for looking at my page. My name is Susan. I am mum to a 3 year old little boy and I am have space to take on a toddler/preschooler aged 2 years-school age. I am open to discussion on days and hours but a part-time contract of 3 days per week would work best. I have a Masters in Education (primary teaching) and I have worked with children throughout my career. Our home is a welcoming, loving, educational and warm space with elements of Montessori philosophy throughout to facilitate children’s growth and development, as well as their desire to play and explore. The back garden is a large, enclosed space with plenty of room to adventure and imagine in! I have experience working with children of all ages through childminding, babysitting, primary school teaching, summer camp work and volunteering, both as a leader with the Irish Girl Guides and in homework and weekend clubs with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. I am passionate, hard-working, and enthusiastic about caring for, educating and working with children of all ages. I have been Garda Vetted many times and I have also completed First Aid and Child and Vulnerable Adult protection trainings. I am particularly interested in Art and Literacy, as well as ensuring that every child, no matter their background or ability, has the opportunity to reach their own potential. Early childhood is a vitally important time in a child’s life and I can provide an environment that will support you, your child and your family during this period.
