About Sarah

Hello! My name is Sarah and I have a lot of experience working with children from the ages 5-11. I am a part-time volunteer with the Solas Project based in the Liberties where I help with school pick up and the afterschool club. I absolutely adore Solas and the relationships I've built with the children there. I am taking a short career break and I'm interested in doing a masters in Childcare as I find working with children and play very natural and fulfilling! Building trust and friendship with the kids has been extremely meaningful to me. On top of my volunteering experience, I have babysat my entire life and worked for sometime as a Face Painter and temporary tattoo artist at an amusement park where I worked primarily with children of all ages. I'm very interested in creativity and play as a means of self-expression. I am an artistic person so there will never be a dull moment as I have a strong interest in a wide variety of art, craft and drama. As a teenager, I helped facilitate and run afterschool drama groups for 10-14 year olds. I'm 27 years old, based in Beggars Bush, Dublin 4. Happy to assist with homework help, afterschool activities and I'm comfortable with pets. I graduated from Trinity College Dublin with an Honours Degree in English Literature in 2021, and my last role was working in the Communications and Media team at Dublin International Film Festival.
