About Mirela
For as long as I can remember, dogs have always been a part of my life. My mother grew up in a small town in the northeast of Brazil, surrounded by many animals, and she passed on to me this unconditional love for them. When I was born, there was already a dog at home and since then, I can’t recall a single moment in my life without a furry friend by my side. I have so many special memories, like Fofo, a lively stray who, sadly, left us too soon due to an incurable illness. After him came Ziggy, my loyal companion for over 15 years. Over the years, our family grew with many other rescued dogs from the streets of Rio de Janeiro: Mel, Nego, Estrela, Sussy, Bob, Marley, Medroso, Pretinha, Neguinha, and Branquinha, each one with their own story and unique personality, filling our home with love and joy. When I moved into my own home, I adopted Rebeka, a very special dog, along with two cats, Dennis and Victoria. Unfortunately, I had to leave them in Brazil, and I miss them deeply every single day. Taking care of dogs isn’t just a job for me, it’s part of who I am. Every walk, every playtime, and every moment spent with them is my way of giving back all the love and happiness these amazing companions bring into our lives. If your pet has any special needs or particularities, I will be happy to understand and help. My native language is Portuguese, but I’m currently at an intermediate English level and studying here in Dublin 1.
