About Verbena
Hi! I’m Verbena, a loving mum to a 15-month-old girl, offering childcare from my own home. I look after my daughter and one more little one, which allows me to give truly individual and attentive care. This small setting creates a calm, family-like environment where children feel safe, happy, and nurtured as they play, connect, and learn together in a natural and caring way. I keep our days simple and mindful, with no screens, focusing instead on real connection, hands-on play, and gentle rhythms that support emotional and cognitive development. We live just across the road from Rathfarnham Castle Park, with its wonderful playground and sandpit, and we’re also within walking distance of Bushy Park. We spend plenty of time outdoors — exploring forest paths, spotting squirrels and ducks, and connecting with nature. I believe outdoor play helps children feel grounded, confident, and joyful. At home, our days flow gently with play, art, music, and story time, offering a balance of creativity, fun, and comfort. I also put a lot of love into preparing healthy homemade meals and snacks every day. I enjoy cooking colourful, balanced, and delicious food using fresh ingredients, encouraging little ones to discover new flavours and build healthy eating habits from the start. I’m available full-time or part-time, and my goal is to offer a warm, nurturing space where your child and mine can grow, explore, and thrive in their own unique way.
