About Olga
I am looking for work as a childminder, primarily in the Swords area. I have over 4 years of experience caring for children aged 2-11+ years old and I truly enjoy spending time with them and taking care of them. Their world makes me incredibly happy and I find absolute joy seeing them grow and learn. I'm responsible, kind, caring and attentive to kids' needs. I have 3 siblings and grew up helping to take care of the younger ones. My current experience includes school drop-offs and pick-ups, helping with homework, managing kid’s routines, preparing meals for multiple families in the local area. My previous background is working 8 years in hospitality as a chef. I'm very passionate about nutrition, balanced diet and preparing healthy meals. I am myself an active and creative person and I enjoy keeping kids engaged through arts/crafts, games, sports and outdoors activities. I also have skills in playing piano, knitting, crochet, tailoring, playing chess, basketball and tennis. I try to incorporate creative, age-appropriate and educational play to support children’s development. I have recently completed level 5 in Psychology and Counselling, including child development, childcare and working with children with special needs. I have a strong interest in child development and finding positive approaches to encourage good behaviour and emotional regulation in children, while promoting their learning, confidence and independence, based on the Aistear framework (early childhood curriculum framework in Ireland). I am training to become a psychologist, while volunteering for Dublin Simon on weekends and as a crisis support volunteer for the HSE funded charity. My schedule is flexible on Monday to Friday, and negotiable on weekends. I am garda vetted and my childminding/college references are available on request.
