About Juliana
Hi there! Firstly, thanks for considering me for your loved one’s healthcare =) My name is Juliana. I’ve been living in Ireland since 2020, but also in Italy on and off for my studies (I will tell you more about them later). I have lots of experience in home care (working for Home Instead Senior Care), nursing homes (Orwell and Cherry Orchard), disability support (Stewarts Care), and hospital settings (such as Tallaght, St. James’s, and St. Vincent’s, to name a few, through an HSE partner agency called Locumlink). It goes without saying that I am fully garda vetted and have all the necessary training and practical experience to work skilfully in all these settings. I completed my QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support in 2022 and frequently update my knowledge through courses such as Patient and Manual Handling, CPR and Basic Life Support, HACCP, SOVA, and many others that I would be happy to send the certificates and discuss further, if you wish. Moreover, I am a qualified psychologist and I am currently working on my Master’s degree at the amazing Università di Padova, Italy. I study Cognitive Neurosciences and Clinical Neuropsychology, which has given me valuable insights into the developing and ageing brain and related behaviours — again, I would be delighted to talk more about this at any time. Finally, most importantly, and very informally speaking: I am a great person to be around (or so my mom says). I love running (a half marathon medal is in my plans for 2026!), hiking, books, cinema, cooking and enjoying life in good company (preferably involving a cappuccino with pistacchio brioche).
