About Alyn Joy
As a registered nurse working full time, I bring a high level of responsibility, attentiveness, and compassion to elderly care. I am calm, patient, and observant, which allows me to quickly understand each individual’s needs and ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well supported at all times. Outside of my professional role, I genuinely enjoy spending time with others, and providing care and companionship is something I find both meaningful and fulfilling. Through my nursing experience, I am skilled in providing person-centred care, maintaining dignity, and supporting both physical and emotional wellbeing. I understand the importance of routine, reassurance, and creating a calm, respectful environment. I offer home visits across the Dublin area for companionship, assistance with daily activities, and general wellbeing check-ins. This may include help with meals, medication administration, or simply providing company and conversation. Due to my work schedule, 2 days of 12 hrs shift and 2 8 hrs shift, planning ahead is very important. A typical visit may include assistance with daily routines, companionship, light activity, and ensuring comfort and safety at all times. I am particularly comfortable supporting older adults who may be more vulnerable, anxious, or require a gentle and patient approach, and I will always follow specific care plans or family instructions carefully.
