My very close friend John, aged 80, has early dementia and wishes to remain living in his own home. We have essentially been partners for almost 20 years now but chose not to live together. I am 15 years his junior and am still in full-time employment. Up to a few months ago I had been spending a lot of time with him at weekends at either of our houses and had been making sure he had enough provisions for the week. During the week I would phone him at least once a day for a chat and to remind him to take his medication. Lately, however he has not managed so well by himself during the week so I have had to travel to and from my house every evening (sometimes twice) to help him prepare a meal and take medication. I am exhausted and need support please.
We are a professional couple looking for a babysitter to mind our 9 year old daughter mainly at the weekend but occasionally on weekday afternoons also. She is funny, caring and has Down Syndrome so we would like our babysitter to be comfortable with special needs. We are looking for a kind, attentive babysitter, ideally with their own transport and a non-smoker.
We are looking for some home help in the mornings from 7-9/9.30am- helping with breakfast, packing lunches, 1 school drop off in Kilmacud and quick kitchen tidy up. This position is for Mon- Friday .
